Na MWC 2017 si spoločnosť HP si pripravila pre Windows fanúšikov zariadenie, ktorému viacerí dávajú prívlastok „klon Surface Booku“ – Pro X2.
HP Pro X2 je podľa špecifikácií ako aj konvertibilite či flexibilite zariadenia určené primárne pre klientelu, ktorá potrebuje produktívny nástroj nie len v domácnosti, ale hlavne na cestách. Pro X2 zariadenie prichádza s veľkým 12“ FULL HD displejom, ktorý je pokrytý krycím sklíčkom Gorilla Glass 4. generácie. V útrobách zariadenia nájdeme najnovší Kaby Lake procesor v rôznych konfiguráciách, od i7 až po M3, dokonca aj s procesorom Pentium. O multitasking sa zase stará operačná pamäť do veľkosti 8GB (LPDDR3), ktorej sekundovať by mal SSD disk s kapacitou do 512GB.
O grafický výkon sa stará integrovaná karta HD Graphics 615, ktorá síce nie je určená pre hranie tých najnáročnejších hier, ale plnohodnotne postačí pre väčšinu práce, ktorú používatelia robia na desktop zariadeniach ako aj pre hranie mierne náročnejších hier či na multimediálny obsah.
HP si pre dané zariadenie pripravilo aj dodatočné príslušenstvo v podobe prídavnej klávesnice či špeciálneho stylusu umožňujúcemu spúšťaniu aplikácií , podobnému tomu, ktoré nájdeme aj pri Surface zariadeniach.
